Omega 3 Hair Loss – What is the Connection?

Some good dietary sources of Omega 3 fatty acids include fish (salmon, albacore, halibut, sardines, tuna, trout, catfish, cod, and herring); shellfish (shrimp, lobster, clams, crab); nuts and seeds (almonds, walnuts, and flax seed); and oils (canola oil).
Cold water oily fish are the best and richest sources of DHA and EPA acids; while seeds are good sources of ALA. The fish oils are also a good source of Omega 3. Other dietary sources include krill and green-lipped mussels.

Although Omega 3 dietary sources are enough to provide high levels of fatty acids, the supplements are recommended for those who cannot meet the daily requirement of fatty acids from the food sources. The most common supplements are available in the liquid fish oil and capsule forms. You can also use other natural herbal-based products to prevent hair loss and regrow new hair follicles.
